180TB Storage Area Network Upgrade

Over the past two to three years, we has centralized most of the College’s network storage on a storage area network (SAN.) Unfortunately, despite working with the hardware vendor to fix some performance and reliability issues, the SAN has completely failed 4 times in the past 18 months. In addition to the reliability issues, the current SAN cannot be expanded past its current capacity to accommodate the growing storage needs of the College. Because of these reasons it is imperative that we replace the existing SAN. We have chosen two SAN devices from a smaller vendor. These devices will be implemented in two separate locations.
